LETTERBOARD I BABY ROOM DECOR

i cannot believe that may is just around the corner!
which also means that this baby of mine will be here before we know it.
we have been busy preparing and putting the last minute finishing touches on the baby's room and just today we have been working on completing the gallery wall.

when i was piecing my gallery wall together i knew for sure that i had to incorporate the heidi swapp letterboard.

it is such an amazing versatile piece because it can be altered to say just about anything you want it to say!  so fun, right?!?  truly the PERFECT addition to any gallery wall or for your home decor.

i found this super cute definition quote online and knew that it would be perfect.  i love mixing and matching all of the different fonts and font sizes.  and seriously....how cute and perfect is that unicorn icon?!? i can't even...

if you are creating your own gallery wall and looking for an awesome piece to invest in for your wall i highly recommend the letterboard. you can add in all of your favourite quotes, phrases and words that represent your personal style. it is available now and can be found online and in independent stores as well as hobby lobby!  trust me, you will love it.

now to continue to get organized and do all of the last minute preparation before this little baby enters our world.  i cannot believe in just weeks she will be here!

SEASONAL SWITCH UP I HEIDI SWAPP GALLERY WALL DOES HALLOWEEN

hello everyone!

if you are anything like me these days....the fall bug has bit.  which means pumpkin EVERYTHING and the urge to start whipping up some fun festive halloween decor.  halloween really is just around the corner and i want as much time as i can to enjoy all that this wonderful time of year brings....especially before the snow starts flying!!!  so that means....time to get creative spooky style!

i want to share a super fun and festive gallery wall "switch up" project today.

especially since it is using products and items from my stash that are not particularly halloween directed.  

but who doesn't love a little surprise inspiration?  i love looking at things in new ways and bringing new life to items that i have in my stash.  versatility rocks...ok so here we go!

i wanted to create a fun halloween gallery wall piece.  something i could add into my home easily either on a wall, or shelf.

so i gathered up the following heidi swapp gallery wall materials now available (and exclusive to michaels stores) and went to work. 

to create this project you will need the following items:

• heidi swapp gallery wall frame
• heidi swapp marquee love numbers: 3,1
• heidi swapp marquee love glitter tape (black, orange, purple)
• heidi swapp marquee love purple bulbs
• heidi swapp gallery wall paper pad
• black spray paint
• command hooks

Step 1: using black spray paint, spray the entire frame black.
Step 2: using marquee love glitter tape (in desired color) place tape on the entire mat  that comes with the frame. do not worry if two sides have a bit of white exposed, the frame conceals that once it's placed back in.
Step 3: locate the black and white paper from the paper pad and place in frame
Step 4: add purple bulbs and purple marquee love glitter tape to the marquee numbers
Step 5: place command hooks onto the frame so that we can suspend our marquee numbers

once you have completed these steps....voila!  a gorgeous gallery wall piece customized just for halloween!

add in some festive banners for even more holiday feel!

i am not a fan of purple personally, but for halloween they are perfection!

i really love how such simple transformational tools (like spray paint and different coloured bulbs) can create the most perfect and customized holiday decor.  the black frame and purple accenting is amazing as halloween decor.

 and as always....that marquee glow.  so perfect! especially for this time of year.  bring on halloween.

SAY HELLO TO MY SPACE

welcome to MY space!

here is my little piece of heaven, my sanctuary. my happy place.  my little escape.

this is where you will find me most late nights...and i love it.

this place is the perfect space for me to unwind after a crazy day of LIFE!

for the past little bit, i have been craving a change.  my space has not always looked like this.  in fact, it was pretty unmotivating.  because this is my little sanctuary, i really wanted it to be somewhere i looked forward to coming and it was a place that relaxed me and at the same time reenergized me.  being creative does not always come easy....so if i am in an invigorating space it definitely helps!

so to transform my space i chose to create a gallery wall.  this was the best solution for me and my space.  i used some of my most favourite pieces from the heidi swapp gallery wall collection now available at michaels stores to create my wall.

i love using the faux pallet boards to create customized signage, the vintage frames for housing my favourite photos and quotes.  clipboards to hold those special extras, cute shelves to place more goodies on, sparkly marquee love and as always my lightbox keeping me inspired!

these are just down right AMAZING....and if you have not yet tried them out...well....seriously you just HAVE TO!

the colors, the possibilities. if you love anything mixed media....OR are intrigued by it all then this is the place to start. trust me on this!

these amazing pastes work with stencils of all types to create gorgeous texture, dimension and design.    these pastes are now available at michaels stores and are part of the heidi swapp gallery wall collection.  they achieve gorgeous results and are perfect for all things DIY.  i mean, these colors alone....don't they just make you SWOON? i honestly do not know even how to pick a favourite they are all just amazing.
