precious memories. dreamy file style.

now more than ever do i realize the importance and power of photographs.
today my little baby turns 4 months.
i was always told it would fly by. but this fast?
i can honestly remember sitting at my computer pregnant (and overdue) thinking that there would be so much time now. boy, was i EVER wrong.
each day flies by with so much going on.
so much change, growth, progress, memories and milestones.
thank goodness for photographs.

scrapbooking has always been so important to me. but now i find the importance is even more so on taking the time to capture these moments and printing the photos out! they are so much more enjoyable when you can see and hold them in your hands.  they become even more beautiful to me when i place them in an album or scrapbook.

back in may i had some photos taken of madix and i.  i really wanted some memories of just me and him.  looking back now i am SO thankful for these pictures.  i created this mini memory file album using the dreamy memory file kit by heidi swapp and her my craft channel create to remember episode that you can find here as my inspiration point for this album.  i loved the tips and techniques she shared!

i used elements from the dreamy memory file kit as well as pieces from the dreamy collection to compile and pull this album together.  i also added in some colour shine in citron and teal as well as some colour magic ephemera pieces misted in blush for added detail.  i still want to embellish a bit more and add in some journaling.  here is a little peek inside:

seriously, how great is that foto stack that comes in the dreamy memory file kit? SO gorgeous!

always love incorporating colour magic paper frames when i can! they are so amazing and take the colour shine beautifully!

another favourite, the dreamy word jumble stickers. yep, i pretty much use these on EVERYTHING whenever i can.

some simple paper layering and colour magic ephemera used here.

more jumble stickers.

i adore the background i created here with the colour magic water colour tags.  to create these i simply used the fabulous heidi swapp stencils and colour shine to create these fun backgrounds. so simple, yet add so much to a page.

hope you enjoyed my little peek inside of my project! now to get to more projects and printing those photos out! cheers!
