THAT'S A WRAP I CHRISTMAS WEEK IN STORYLINE CHAPTERS

i love the thought of all my memories tucked in.

tucked in journals, notebooks, photo albums and scrapbooks.  add memory planners and storyline chapters to that list.  it is just a concept that i love.

here as i worked on the last few weeks of december and 2020 i marvel at so many things.  we are here.  2021 is knocking at the door.  so much has gone in this year and yet, here we are.  it was such a roller coaster year and for so many things i am grateful.  even the tough stuff i had to personally endure because i am stronger for it and proud of myself no doubt!

so much of my planner this year has been inspired by the great teachings of heidi swapp in her stop the blur class.  i have loved each and every month and i adore how with each spread there is a taste of her teachings.  and sprinkled within those the awesome printables.  i just love them so much!  adding in some of my most memorable photos and thoughts within these pages of the week leading up to christmas, what a treasured and important story to tell.  it all goes so quickly, doesn't it?

awhile back in stop the blur, i love how heidi talked about the idea of adding an interactive pocket.  such a great way to add in additional elements like tags, photos and more pieces of the story.  i love the versatility of this concept and how it can be altered in so many different ways.

stamping is another one of my favourite ways to start my stories.  fun captions and titles laid out in beautiful alpha stamps.  such a great way to serve as a prompt and intro, plus it also looks just fabulous too.  mix and match your stamps with different colors and types of inks is also another fun way to add an additional creative element to this simple technique.

this incredible way to document will be coming with me into 2021.  i cannot wait to see what lies ahead and i am so grateful to all that has been.  this year may not have looked like anything we have ever dreamed of it looking, but when i review all my pages of my storyline chapters memory planner...it was not that bad after all.  look for the bless in the mess, always.

here we go 2021.  so ready for you.

STORYLINE CHAPTERS I BULLET JOURNAL WEEKLY SPREAD

awhile back i created this bullet journal in my heidi swapp storyline chapters notebook and i don't ever think i ended up sharing my inside pages.  well no better time than the present, and i love this project because it showcases just another simple and fun way to use these versatile journals for planning, documenting and memory keeping.

i think decorating the covers with additional embellishments always is one of my favourite parts of beginning a project.  just because a cover already has a design does not mean it cannot be personalized or customized even further.  go ahead! add on those embellishments, stickers and phrases.  nothing is ever off limits when it comes to creativity.

i also love stamping inside of my journals.  make the most of the space and just let go.  the inside cover of the storyline chapters journal makes such a beautiful canvas for additional creativity and ideas.

i added a fun twist to the inside page.  i folded over and adhered with adhesive to create a small pocket to hold an additional journaling card.  a very fun and easy way to not only add interactivity, but to also conceal journaling or notes that you want hidden or not visible in plain sight.

flip over the page and now is the welcoming blank space to design and create a weekly bullet journal spread.  i used a ruler and fine tip black pen to create boxes that i can fill with notes, lists and ideas for the week.  the large storyline chapters alphas that come in the sticker pack not only made for a great headers, but also for noting the days of the week.  i also added in some stamping and other fun embellishments from the storyline collection.  such a great way to create a fabulous weekly spread.

this project is just another amazing way to use a storyline chapters journaler notebook.  i hope you are inspired to try out a design similar like this for yourself.  it is a great way to document, create and stay on track!

JULY I STORYLINE CHAPTERS PLANNER MONTH AT A GLANCE

wrapping up the month in my storyline chapters planner notebook is always a highlight and so much fun to complete. i love taking the key memories and moments that filled our month and documenting them in this 'birds eye view' type spread.

i always begin with printing out my highlight photos of the month.  i use the heidi swapp photo paper that is amazing to work with. not only are the photos beautiful quality, but the photos are stickers and the templates fit the planner pages perfectly.  it is such a foolproof way to get what i need quickly and easily done with minimal hassle!

i also included a lot of the the printable from this months 'stop the blur' class.  i simply printed on a laser label so that i can cut out and adhere, again with little to no fuss.  such an easy way to turn your printables into stickers.

a lot of this month centered around enjoying every possible sunny day we can get our hands on (as we have been bombarded with tons of rain), family camping, the beach and even a weekend getaway to the mountains.  it has been full and fun, simple and sometimes overwhelming too. but forever memorable nonetheless.

it really is amazing how the little details serve to kickstart the memories and the moments.  grateful for this little passageway to the past where i can remember and reflect on what we have done, where we have been and where we have yet to go.

if you are looking for more inspiration or ideas to get started on your own memory planning journey i really suggest you check out heidi's online class called 'stop the blur'.  it is an incredible resource full of ideas and inspiration to get you started documenting your very own journey.  i love it and i know you will too. :)

2020 VISION I COPTIC NOTEBOOK

as we are nearing the end of 2019 (oh so so quickly) and entering into not just any year but 2020! a brand new decade.  wow.  i am certainly feeling all the feelings.  i am not sure if it is just me...but i tend to get a little melancholic around this time.  the feelings do not stick around for long, but just enough to make themselves aware and for me to get even more reflective than usual.

i have been so inspired by so many beautiful and talented artists out there on social media and i love seeing what they are choosing to use to document this new year.  i love all the planners and journals...and the ideas! they are all so incredible.

i have been particularly moved by a woman by the name of @mindful_hookup on instagram.  she has the most incredible journals she calls "magic mornings".  and in these journals she does a ton of reflective work and they have really moved and inspired me.  i really want to follow along in her practice so i decided to create my own journal...that being a coptic notebook of course.

i chose to use the beautiful heidi swapp hawthorne paper collection to construct my notebook.  i love this collection so much and it is even still available!  you can get your hands on this stunning collection right here.

i used the hawthorne foam stickers to label my journal '2020 VISION'.

i love these foam stickers because the double sided adhesive allows me to use minc foils on them.  i chose this silver holographic.  it is a bit hard to photograph but it really is oh so beautiful.  the perfect shine for my album title.

best part about these alphas is that they do not even require a minc machine to be foiled.  simply remove the top adhesive, lay your desired foil down and rub with your finger or tool.

remove and voila!  gorgeous foiled stickers.  so easy and they always look amazing.

inside my coptic notebook each signature is created out of a different hawthorne pattern paper, white cardstock  and vellum.

i even created my 2020 vision board journal spread in my notebook.  it is created in the first few pages of the journal and i love that it is always in the front so that i can always look at it day after day.  a solid reminder of my focus and purpose with this journal.

having a beautiful new journal to begin a new year with definitely helps to offset the melancholic feelings i can have just before the new year starts.  i love the idea of a clean slate, fresh start, and beautiful possibility!

cheers to 2020, the beginning of a brand new decade.
